Professor Haskell Murray teaches various corporate law courses at Regent University College of Law. Professor Murray’s research focuses on corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions and social enterprise related issues.  His scholarship has been published in the Georgia State University Law Review, the Mercer Law Review, the University of Miami Law Review and the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law.  In October of 2011, Professor Murray’s article in the University of Miami Law Review, which was co-authored with Edward Hwang, was ranked as the top downloaded social enterprise article on SSRN.  Immediately prior to joining Regent’s faculty, Professor Murray served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Georgia State University College of Law.

Before entering academia, Professor Murray practiced law as a member of King & Spalding’s mergers and acquisitions team in Atlanta, GA, where he worked on domestic and international transactions totaling over five billion dollars in value. Professor Murray left King & Spalding to clerk for former Vice Chancellor Stephen P. Lamb on the Delaware Court of Chancery. Following his clerkship, Professor Murray was recruited to Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York City, NY where he practiced as part of the firm’s corporate governance and securities litigation group.  In law school, Professor Murray received the Attorney’s Title Guaranty Scholarship, was elected to the editorial board of his school’s main law review, graduated second in his class and received “high distinction” for his pro bono work.
